Pardon me for having a different opinion, but I've heard that line before - from liberals who were defending the Social Security program. "All the money is THERE!" they ranted year after year. SS is now predicted to go bust in about 15 years... unless payments are reduced and the eligibility age goes way up. Not a problem for old farts like you and me, though, right? We'll get ours, and who cares if the program collapses after that.

New York. Heh. Yeah, it's got some rich people. That's why you're there, so you can feed off 'em, eh? But the problem is, it also has about fourteen million useless bums in the city and outlying communities like Mahopac. Wipe those sh!+holes off the earth in the blink of an eye, along with the infestation who live in them, and New York would be just fine.

Ah, but that's what I like about it. Liberals don't like it. It's cold. Life there isn't easy. Lazy bums in New Hampshire don't get free stuff handed to them by the government the way they do even in Vermont (which is its twin, in many ways). Consequently, the state is still honest, pretty, clean and a place where a hard worker can prosper. It's the way America used to be.
And that's that. You wouldn't like it. Sadly, too many neighboring liberals from Vermont, Massachusetts and Maine are crossing the border into New Hampshire and finding it to be SO much better than their own states that they're buying property and staying. I may find one day that my feeling about the state has changed, and they will be the reason why.
