Hi csl,

People react differently to grief.

I couldn't imagine finding consolation in a flag either. But many do and that is a good thing. Anything that consoles helps.

For me, family matters a million times more than country. clo lost someone she loved. It isn't my job to question her reaction. It was kind and trusting of her to share her experience.

I experienced the "gesture" of a military presentation of a flag honoring their service at funerals for both my dad and my father in law, along with other veteran's I have been close to. They earned silver stars, bronze stars and purple hearts. The memory of those veterans and that presentation of the flag honoring them are cherished. Your reaction is incomprehensible to me and contrary to any reaction I have ever witnessed at any funeral for any veteran.

The congresswoman attempting to politicize the phone call is reprehensible. Trump chose to make a very difficult phone call. I admire him for the effort and the courage to make the call. General Kelly's emotional and eloquent defense of Trump was all that needs to be said on the matter.

Criticize Trump as much as you like, I know you hate him, but you are completely off base on this issue.
