Here is a more modern version of EXACTLY what the Second Amendment says ...
"Because the ability to form a properly provisioned and well-run militia is necessary to ensure the freedom of the people against all threats, whether internal or external, the right of the people to acquire, own, and maintain possession of fully functioning, state-of-the-art firearms and weapons SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED, IMPAIRED, RESTRICTED, OR LIMITED IN ANY WAY, PERIOD."
So, as you can see ... if you choose not to be willfully stupid, that is ... American citizens have the God-given right to own firearms and weapons to defend themselves and fellow citizens, and this inalienable right is directly recognized by The United States Constitution, which expressly FORBIDS the government from trying to contravene or limit that inalienable right in any way, shape, or form.
