I don't know what this means? Are you referring to the alarms(fire/smoke) that went off due to excessive smoke in his rooms? Which is what led he cops to his room.
Another thing which shows his planning. I am pretty sure he concealed the muzzle flash. In the video clips you can't tell where the shots are coming from even when the hotel is visible and the shots are being fired. Should have been easy to spot.
