Your "jumping the fence" IS a crime punishable by jail time, you idjit - read ... if you even have the ability to read, that is ... Title 8 Section 1325 of the U.S. Code. It's right there in black and white.

Just because the federal government doesn't usually impose jail time does NOT mean that Title 8 Section 1325 of the U.S. Code mysteriously disappears and these criminal acts are no longer crimes.
