csl is a very kind, sweet-natured man.

His politics are based on his own life experience. I mostly understand his scepticism of liberal positions based on Illinois politics. There are consequences of bad/dishonest liberallism. Government corruption is one of the issues liberals have to engage (expanded government means more opportunities for cheats). And the emergence of teat-seeking victim groups is another (which is the cause of my distaste for identity politics).

But I really don't understand his recent move from principled Libertarian to Trump supporter either. Any one ought to be able to see that Trump is a con man and a nasty piece of work. I wonder how he exerts control over his supporters.

The only thing holding his numbers as high as they are is that he hasn't yet destroyed Obama's economy. That just needs a bit more time.

Have you heard?
Trump is anxious to put Tariffs on China.
Looking to start a trade war...
what the hell, North Korea, (maybe) Venezuela, Afghanistan, they aren't enough chaos.
If he does that all hell will break lose.
And the business community will condemn his actions & the market will tank.

csl is obviously not a dumb man, yet he's blind when it comes to Trumps' short comings.
