Trump Told Mexican Leader Wall Is ‘Least Important Thing’
President Donald Trump told Mexico’s leader that his proposed border wall is “the least important thing that we are talking about,” according to a transcript of the January call published by The Washington Post on Thursday. Trump told President Enrique Peña Nieto the wall is only important politically, adding he’s in a “political bind because I have to have Mexico pay for the wall.” Trump told Australia’s prime minister before hanging up, “Putin was a pleasant call. This is ridiculous.”
