I hear you on all that except for the part about "someone the Israelis will trust." Do you have someone in mind? I'm not sure that there's anyone they trust . . . except for themselves, and even then, usually not for too long.
I figure the ruler will be a banker. The token FIGUREHEAD could be almost anyone. Anyone obedient, that is. Maybe Obama plans to take the job.
