The story about Obamacare is a silly one.
The whole argument was about the individual insurance market, which is ONLY 6% of the total insurance market. That's where the premiums and availability in rural areas comes to be a problem. But the republicans made it seem like it was socialism applied to the whole insurance market.
Wrong!!
First, insurance companies are ALL PRIVATE. They just operate under more rules than before, and they cannot any longer offer plans that are good only on paper and do not cover anything. The government doesn't provide insurance. It just makes sure the insurance people get is GOOD, and it is. Which is why it could not be repealed. They republicans along with the dems can now fix the problem with the individual insurance market, AGAIN the 6% of all insured Americans today. A small percentage of the total that enjoy plenty of benefits because of Obamacare. It took a seriously sick senator and two women senators who understand the plight of those looking to get well or not die, who would be on their own if the republican bitches had managed to turn the health insurance market, once again, into a free for all, survival of the fittest.
THAT IS NOT GOING TO STAND IN 21st CENTURY AMERICA! The wild west is OVER!
We won. Suck it up, sit down, and find the solution to a small problem of 6% of the individual market. Change all that affect that market for the better. Stop fighting Medicaid. It works great for the poor who will die without it. You are just gonna have to give UP on the taxes that support it. No tax cut for the rich so people die. Period.
Focus on continuing America's greatness: Tax reform, infrastructure, immigration, obamacare fixes, stop fighting the 21st Century. The new generations won't stand for anyone turning us back to the wild west and the 20th Century.
John McCain must have seen a huge light with his diagnosis, so that he made the effort to come and make a point. He must have thought what would happen to him if he was just an average guy, in the insurance market the republicans want us to have, with such a devastating diagnosis, with all it entails for treatment and availability of. HE MUST HAVE HAD A REVELATION OVER IT. MUST HAVE. Things like that focus the brain like a laser.
