...just jerkin ya around. I am perplexed that you don't understand the purpose of the electoral college. It was never intended that the president be elected by popular vote and originally Senators were not elected by popular vote. They were appointed by governors of the states. The House of reps was supposed to represent the people and the senate to represent the states.
