...yes indeed it is a terrible practice. I was circumcised just hours or days after I was born and I have been in a bad mood ever since.

A ceremonial 'beheading', albeit minor in nature, is performed on all newborn Jewish (and Muslim) boys. There are many people who consider this a cruel and inhumane religious practice.
