Hey!
I like the WartHOg too. (Former U.S. Army.)

I keep reading where it is the number one choice for
the grunts when they need 'close air support'.

The A10 was designed to take battle damage which would
turn lesser machines into scrap metal. The A10 was
designed to be a tank buster. I understand that
30 mm cannon of its can reduce a three story building
to rubble in less time than it is taking me to type
this paragraph.

Instead of trying to build 'all in one' aircraft I think
we need to have several different types - designed to
do one thing very well.

Like, a few dozen stealth bombers for sneaking in and
destroying ground based anti-aircraft.

Several hundred stealth fighters for destroying the
enemies air forces.

Several hundred non-stealth bombers with many tons of
smart bombs for destroying the enemies infrastructure.

Several thousands of not particularly stealthy fighter
bombers to maintain air superiority and pummel ground
targets of opportunity.

And several hundreds of ground support aircraft like
the A10 specifically designed to provide the close air
support our troops need and deserve.

Zim.
