But clo, we don't have to doubt it. They may indeed be fearful. With a few exceptions, it doesn't have to be the case that cops are bad, racist and deliberate.

The problem might simply be that cops are instinctively fearful of black males in high risk situations and react accordingly. You can't expect your amygdala to operate the same way as your cerebral cortex or your frontal lobe. It's a different piece of the brain.

I think this problem is a product of a gun culture.

Juries appear to be unable to hold cops accountable. Since all they need to do is claim fear, that gives them a license to kill...
