Yes, but Pence is at least a person without obvious thinking issues. He may want to do Republican things along the lines of a George Bush. But he won't tweet. He won't fire the FBI guy for doing his job. He won't possibly start an unnecessary nuclear war. He won't support Russia rather than US allies. He won't undermine his team. He won't lie all day, every day. He will respect the courts. He may even respond to public opinion.
So if the Republicans demote Trump, I support Pence as Trump's replacement. However bad Bush was, and he was bad, Trump is way, way worse.
You know what will get the attention of republicans, when the stock market tanks & or trade falls apart because of Trumps' actions.
Money & polls are the only light they follow, they have no spine, no moral compass.
I used to think Pence would be an alternative, not the best, but... however, his behavior proves he too has NO SPINE. And Paul Ryan is probably one of the weakest Speakers in history.
