It sounds like a hung parliament. But one that will require another election very soon.

I am not really sure what happened there. I don't understand why people voted for the right-wing populist Trump or the Marxist populist Corbyn.

I used to sorta think I understood the way electorates thought about politics. I saw where Thatcher and Reagan came from and why folks elected Clinton and Blair. I also thought I understood the elections of Bush, Cameron and Obama.

But I am afraid those days are over. Electorates seem suddenly more moth-like.

I don't think it ends well for the ideas we have lived by during my lifetime. Maybe some new defining principles will emerge. But there are no easy answers to political problems which I know of.
