The whole story makes sense if you believe they have some dirt on him.
But if, like csl, you believe nothing is as it seems, then it is a bit like saying you will ignore the obvious and imagine a hall of mirrors.
Not exactly Occam's razor. No one has ever marshalled a conspiracy on this scale without it leaking. And this presidency is nothing if it isn't leaky.
Right now, the US right reminds me of the Middle East 20 years ago, when every bad thing was explained by secret Israeli intervention. Paranoia goes off the rails fairly quickly. When does the violent, white supremacist right coalesce into a force?
