I expect you will not agree with me but my view is if market forces were allowed function the result, over time, would be far lower costs and greatly improved healthcare for everyone.

I completely understand there are issues people confront in the here and now that are beyond their control. Those people must somehow be accommodated by non market oriented programs, but those accommodations should avoid impacting the innovation and creativity of the market forces.

The market is the best driver to deliver improvements and efficiency. There are always examples of failures of both the market and government healthcare influences but overall my view is the control exercised over healthcare by the government over the past 75 years or so has cost all of us monetarily and in the quality of healthcare provided.

The healthcare available for the human population fifty years from now will be greatly impacted by policy decisions being made today and that populations welfare should be factored into our policy decisions of today.
