Yes. Unfortunately they were left with no choice.

Whoever is leaking foreign-sourced intelligence is breaching the collaboration agreement between the US and its partners.

Of course, we know one such source, who never mentioned the word Israel. And whose explanation is that it is legal for him to share such information if he wishes.
