Judge disqualifies U.S. attorney in Albany investigating Letitia James
John A. Sarcone III is the fifth Trump-appointed interim U.S. attorney who has been disqualified from serving in such a role.
U.S. District Judge Lorna G. Schofield ruled that John A. Sarcone III — a Trump loyalist appointed in March as interim U.S. attorney for the Northern District of New York — has been unlawfully serving in his role for months. Sarcone had no legal authority when he subpoenaed James’s office during the summer as part of a probe into whether her office had violated civil rights of Trump or others, Schofield said.
At the time those subpoenas were issued, she said, Sarcone had already served beyond the 120 days he could hold on to his position. Schofield described the Justice Department’s efforts to keep him in his job beyond that point as an “end-run” around federal statutes aimed at allowing him to target “a perceived rival of the president.”
“When the Executive branch of government skirts restraints put in place by Congress and then uses that power to subject political adversaries to criminal investigations, it acts without lawful authority,” the judge wrote. “Subpoenas issued under that authority are invalid.”
The Senate voted 52-47 to block Trump from further military action in Venezuela.

And Trump is still insisting, even after seeing the videos, that Good ran over the ICE agent and that he had to be taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. The video clearly shows that Good's SUV never hit the ICE agent, and that the agent shot her as the SUV was driving PAST him, and then there's another video showing him walking all the way down the street, to where Good's SUV had hit a telephone pole, as if to make sure that she was dead, and then walked all the way back, showing no signs of being injured in any way.
And no where on the videos does it show any agents attempting to give aid to Good, instead they blocked people from approaching the SUV, include a doctor who offered to check her condition. It's also been reported that when the EMT's finally did arrive, that the ICE agents delayed their getting to Good by another 15 minutes as agents were removing Good's body themselves, like she was a sake of potatoes or something and leaving here lying on the ground.

The nightmare goes on for former White House aide Lindsey Halligan, President Donald Trump’s embattled pick to lead the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia.
More than six weeks after a judge threw out Halligan’s indictments against former FBI Director James Comey and New York state Attorney General Letitia James on the grounds that she was illegally serving as interim U.S. Attorney, Halligan is still signing indictments as the office’s lead prosecutor, according to a bombshell court filing.
Federal Judge David Novak, who was appointed by Trump, issued an order Tuesday demanding that Halligan “explain why her identification does not constitute a false or misleading statement.”
