I am not a perfect Christian nor a perfect man. I make mistakes and sometimes say things I regret later and have need to seek forgiveness from those I may have offended and especially from My Lord Jesus Christ.
Twice now in less than 2 years I have almost been killed by other motorists. The second time happened yesterday afternoon.
My wife and I were leaving the parking lot of a store and sitting at a red light to exit onto a MAIN thoroughfare where the speed limit is 45 mph. Across from us on the other side of the road was another car also waiting for the light to change from red to green.
The light changed. I awaited where I was at until the other car opposite me made his turn and then I started to proceed forward. I was going to turn left.
The road that I needed to cross over and turn left on was a four lane highway.
My light had been green for over 15 seconds as I waited for the other vehicle opposite to turn onto the highway. Then I began to move forward.
Suddenly, and I have no idea why, I sensed danger and SLAMMED by foot onto the brake pedal. Another full size car had just come whizzing across the front end of my new vehicle at full speed.
They completely ran a RED LIGHT that had been RED a full 15 - 20 seconds at full speed.
Thankfully that car missed the front of mine by maybe an inch, two at the most. I was horrified and dumbstruck at the same time. I had barely caught a glimpse of something moving out of the very corner of my left eye.
IF I had proceeded out onto the road at normal takeoff speed I would have been fully TEE BONED on the driver door by a large full size Cadillac at over 45 MPH. For some reason, I INCHED forward and was able to slam on the brakes and stop the car just SHY of the vehicle who ran the red light and missed me by less than two inches.
Had I proceeded out and turned as normal after the opposite car turned onto the highway, I would be in the morgue and my spirit would be with the Lord.
So why did I gently move forward and why did my left eye catch that glimpse of danger????
It was not my time to go. We all have an appointed time for graduation to heaven. We all have ministering spirits we cannot see with human eyes. Angels. Much stronger than any mortal men.
I can tell you mine shoved a fully loaded 18 wheeler back when the ruck came over into my lane and almost shoved me off of a high bridge crossing a gorge 245 deep coming home on business one afternoon two years ago. My 3200 pound car was no match for an 80,000 pound loaded semi.
He should have easily just pushed me over the side of the bridge. WHY did that not happen. The instant I felt the impact of the truck on the side of my car and it was shoved five feet immediately to the right edge of the bridge as the trucker for some reason decided he wanted my lane in the middle of a bridge, and he was still coming, I knew I was going to heaven that day and in a matter of minutes as I saw my life flash in front of my eyes and a fireball crash at the bottom of the gorge. I wondered how my wife would be.
And here we are again, yesterday, leaving a parking lot, barely easing out onto a highway after the light was green long enough for opposing traffic to make their turns onto the road as they had right of way, when suddenly a large car comes careening past the front end of my car at full speed.
I should be in heaven. My car should have been tee boned in the driver door. I should be seeing the glories of GOD'S Heaven.
But it was not my appointed time....
One day we all will stand before the Creator of ALL THINGS and see the Lord Jesus face to face and feel HIS LOVE surround us.
But I am here this morning to say to you, that for some unexplainable reason I was kept from tragedy and more importantly to me, my wife was spared painful injuries from being a very bad car crash that never happened.
THANK YOU FATHER for the attending Spirits that You give each and every one of us who are called by your name. Thank you for your Love and for YOUR unspeakable GIFT of Salvation through Jesus Christ, who loved us so much, HE took upon Himself the form of man, and allowed HIMSELF to be nailed to a Roman Cross, Bleed Holy blood, and Die a horrible, painful and slow death, and so TASTE DEATH for every man, woman and child ever born.
ON the third day HE arose with Victory over DEATH, Hell, and The GRAVE and stands with HIS arms outstretched and invites every single person on earth to LOOK to HIM for their salvation. They don;t have to do ANY WORKS. All they have to do is ask HIS forgiveness and TRUST HIM as their savior. Turn your life, your very eternal soul over to the ONE who created YOU, and who gave HIS life for you, and had victory over the grave and death...
WE ALL have an appointed time we are going to die. GOD knows when. It is recorded in the BOOKS in Heaven. Yes, there are vast records kept in heaven. Many books. And all are kept by GOD.
YOUR NAME is there also. SO is mine. Mine is recorded in the Book of Life as well as the LAMB'S Book of Life. There is a DATE recorded as to when my graduation day will be. So is your name recorded with the same date..
IF your name is not recorded in the Lamb's Book of Life, you will not enter into Heaven. You see, sin cannot enter into God's presence. He is HOLY and WITHOUT SIN. That is why He could not look upon HIS SON upon the Cross. Jesus took upon himself all the sin of the world and became sin. God cannot look upon sin.
IF you have not been washed clean by the BLOOD of Christ, you will not enter heaven. You will be sent to hell for eternity.
There are no second chances. NOBODY can pray you into heaven. YOU must on YOUR OWN, ask Jesus to save you.
Do not put it off another minute.
I could have been sent into eternity yesterday afternoon. Easily.
And it would have been okay because I would be with Jesus and He has prepared for me a HOME of my own in heaven. Far better than I have here.
Take HIM as your savior today. All you have to do is ASK HIM in FAITH, believing with your heart that HE loves you, died for, and will SAVE YOU from your sins.
Your name will be written down in the Lamb's BOOK of LIFE and when your time comes to graduate, you too will we hear, "Enter into the joy of thy Lord".
Call upon Jesus TODAY and be Saved. Settle it once and for all! You too cold have a terrible accident like I almost did. Only you may not have a ministering spirit to keep you from the harm.
