14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up :
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish , but have eternal life.
Jesus was nailed to a Roman Cross. The Cross was raised upright by Roman soldiers and the King of Kings was lifted upward along with it. This was foretold 500 years before it happened by the prophet Isaiah.
Just as the times in the wilderness when the Israelites were complaining and moaning and groaning about everything in their delivery from the bondage of the Egyptians for 400 years and GOD sent amongst them "fiery serpents", meaning poisonous snakes like ASPS and ADDERS which are commonly found in that climate, if someone got snake bit and wanted to LIVE, all they had to do was to look upon the LIFTED UP POLE with the spiraled snake around the top (the modern symbol used today by the American Medical Association), and believe that they would be healed, and they would LIVE....
BY FAITH they believed if they LOOKED upon the SAVING SYMBOL GOD told MOSES to put upon that pole they would have LIFE and not die.
SO as Jesus Christ was raised and lifted upward upon that wood cross, if ANYONE looks to JESUS and BELIEVES HE alone can SAVE them and give them eternal life, they will be given life everlasting...
LOOK upon Jesus, BELIEVE upon HIM and Him alone, and LIVE eternally!!!
This is GOD's GIFT to HIS creation, mankind.... He wants us to live with HIM forever in a place called HEAVEN, and it is a real place, just as hell is a real place.
How simple can it be? Believe on the name of the Lord Jesus and thou shall be saved!
In HIM is LIFE, ETERNAL LIFE, and HE OFFERS IT TO YOU if you will only accept and receive it to yourself through FAITH and belief......
Won't you trust and believe in HIM today and have YOUR NAME recorded in the Lamb's Book of Life so that one day you too can have a home HE has already built for YOU in Heaven???
