"Emergency Back-up power generators will be electric powered."

Yeah, I read that in an article, last night, and I about fell out of my chair laughing. I realize that these nimrods are thinking that these generators will have stored battery power ... rather than powered by live electric current, which will obviously be unavailable during a power outage ... at least, I hope these idiots understand that ... BUT, such battery storage will only be able to power a house for just a little while. It's like that stupid electric pickup commercial on TV where the homeowner plugs his electric pickup into the house and all the power is restored to the house. BWHA HA HA HA HA HA!!! What utter nonsense! These "generators" will be effectively worthless hunks of junk within hours - maybe minutes - depending on what you are trying to power. Newsom and his band of loyal boot-lickers are a bunch of f*cking morons.

California Governor Gavin Newsom has signed legislation that aims to ban the sale of gas-powered lawn equipment, generators, and other small engines designed for off-road use.

Emergency Back-up power generators will be electric powered 😂😂🤷‍♂️

This new law builds from the executive order signed by Newsom in 2020 that bans the sale of new passenger cars powered by internal combustion engines in 2035. In the same order, Newsom calls for "100 percent zero-emission off-road vehicles and equipment," the phaseout of which must now be road mapped by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) in 2022 and officially put in place by 2024.
