Nope. I wasn't aware that the Dr Seuss estate still existed. I imagined the publishing rights had been sold to a third party. And that the so-called academics offering their opinions were independent actors.
At any rate, it sounded like some Democrats were enthusiastic about removing those books from circulation. And so the party pays the price as seeming to be enthusiastically woke.
Exactly the thing the GOP wishes the Dems to seem. Electoral poison. If Dems go down that road they will lose the next election and they will deserve to.
Woke is only popular with a small part of the party. But it does damage to the whole of it. It's pretty obvious that woke ideas are not generally liked. The market can decide whether books of that sort should be published.
