She says “what kind of government we should have and who should it be working for?”
Well, we don’t need a government other than for the known well established reasons, and to set the rules of engagement in a capitalist system. If that is what she means, i’m with it. If she means government to take care of the poor and disadvantaged, no. We can help them get with it, but not provide a good life for them. We don't need a government working for the poor. We need a good capitalist, entrepreneurial system, that helps the poor get out of poordom. We need that system to compete and beat everyone else in the world or we’ll all be poor too. We need a robust capitalism that can also help the poor get ahead and prosper.
So, she needs to clarify where she stands on that. Her consumer bureau was great, because it made sure CONSUMERS did not get taken in by banks and unscrupulous businesses. It is the essence of what I call “ rules for capitalism”. Taking for all they got people is not capitalism, it is fraud. Remember, banks and mortgages were the reason we almost lost it all 11 years ago. Rules, good rules of doing business or capitalism DIES.
