Free or minimal cost state college I don’t have a trouble with. It was that way when America became Great, and because of it to some regard too.
We should stop corporate welfare, big oil welfare, make sure corporations pay rain or shine 15% tax, no exemptions.
The 2% tax on wealth above $50 million is something to consider, assuming there is a clear way to establish such level of wealth. Should someone feel good about being taxed that amount for all the property and art work, for example, he or she owns? Good question, I just consider it a cost of being that rich. You have so much, you can contribute a small amount so that others who are disadvantaged can chase their dreams. Nothing wrong with helping our people get ahead with education and other help they need to keep going and make it. The issue is how is that money going to be managed and where will it be spent? It should only hapoen if and only it can be allocated to specific goals, not a piggy bank for Congress to spend elsewhere. It should be an American investment for the future, and should stay at 2% forever. No increases, or it should be nullified and a new one negotiated and voted on.
