verses 27 - 31
27 And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us.
28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
30 And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.
31 But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country.
The KEY verse is 29 which is boldened. It is reinforced that BY OUR FAITH and TRUST in HIM ALONE, nothing else, that if we make known our requests and NEEDS (not all our wants) to HIM, HE will hear us andrespond when HE KNOWS the TIME is right. JESUS RESPONDS to our FAITH IN HIM. The reaosn many do not have their requests to him answered is because they did not ask in faith belieiving HE would answer. They asked amiss. For the wrong reason. Jesus is not going to repsond to give you a million dollars. He does have compassion on those who have real needs and problems and cares that are worrisome. He will give you peace that only YOU will know about if you cast all your care upon HIM by faith.
Believe, TRUST, COME with a CONTRITE and PURE HEART. Get your sin confesed and forgiven before asking HIM to hear your requests for help. When there is SIN in our lives that is unconfessed and NOT cleansed and washed by The BLOOD of Jesus, there is a sin gulf between us and HIM. That SIN must be dealt with, confesed to him, repented of and forgiven before you can have fellowship with HIM. EVERY child of GOD needs to learn this very principle that only with a pure heart can one enter into the presence of HIS throne. SIN in our lives and hearts causes a break in FELLOWSHIP and JOY with HIM. It does NOT cause our salvation to be taken away but we will be pretty miserable if we do not have the JOY of our LORD in our hearts daily because of unrepented of sin. The ruler who asked Jesus to heal his daughter had a reconciled heart and and believed that Jesus would do what he asked of him. Have FAITH that does not waiver.
