10 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:
11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.
12 One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.
13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;
14 Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.
15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
THIS instruction to TITUS is written by the Apostle Paul, who was God's Apostle to the Gentile world. (anyone not a Jew is a Gentile)
Titus was a Gentile who believed in Jesus Christ and became a PASTOR. Paul is giving him instruction concerning pretenders who have shown up , pretending to know GOD but their ACTIONS and DEEDS deny what their lips and mouth claimed.
IF ONE is truly SAVED, a CHANGED person by the HOLY SPIRIT of God inside your very being, your ACTIONS and WORDS will line up with what your words are.
The two cannot be opposite. It is a dead giveaway that you are a fake and phony. There has been n TRANSFORMATION of your heart and mind by the Holy Spirit of God within you if this is the case...
ANYTIME I say anything that is wayward, unkind, I am so burdened in my heart that I did not speak or act like I know I should and have to make it right.... That is God the HOLY SPIRIT convicting ME of sin...
The same applies to everyone who claims to know HIM.
IF YOU can say things or do things that would make JESUS ashamed and NOT FEEL any conviction about it, You had better re-examine whether you have ever really been transformed into HIS CHILD by HIS GRACE and POWER or if you only have a head knowledge and know a few buzz words.
People miss heaven by the distance betweentheir HEAD and their heart all the time. Their actions and words do not line up with what they sometimes tell others.
THAT is a HUGE problem and JESUS pointed this out many times in the GOSPEL Chapters of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
SWEET water and BITTER water cannot BOTH spring forth from the SAME FOUNTAIN...........
You have either sincerely sought HIS forgiveness and asked HIM to SAVE YOU, surrendered your HEART and LIFE unto HIS LEADERSHIP, or You have not..
Real believers KNOW when a FAKE has arrived among them. You cannot deceive them.
