The NYT doesn't want to admit it, but this is obviously about race and diversity. Very few immigrants these days are white and the NYT is therefore pointing out that "all white states pose an array of problems for non-whites." Well, duh. I dare say that all black regions pose problems for non-blacks, too.

The big difference here is that whites don't WANT to live in Harlem, Ferguson or East L.A. They're ugly, violent places. New Hampshire and Vermont, on the other hand, are overwhelmingly white, peaceful AND beautiful. I somehow suspect that there's a correlation and if the demographic makeup were to dramatically change, the states would rapidly turn into the same sorts of cesspools found throughout the rest of the country.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

Catalina Celentano who complained that when she moved to New Hampshire, she could not speak Spanish

Another example of someone immigrating to the United States, then complaining that it wasn't the same as the plase SHE LEFT!!
