Makes sense that he would as he is one of the folks who disavowed Trump from the beginning.

The Republican intelligentsia has no time for Trump and his immoral methods. And having stepped aside from the madness, they now see the GoP for what it has become.

The ex-Bush Republicans and ex-Trump Republicans are now united in no man's land, but leaning Democrat because there's nowhere else to go.

If they could cure the Dems of their ubiquitous victim culture, that would be a great result. There are genuine vulnerable categories (migrant children, for instance) but not everyone needs to whine all the time. They have to provide a constructive message, and avoid being predominantly a party of grievance.
