Go to Google and search for 'What is a 1911?' The response will include a list of additional questions and answers those doing research might find useful:

The last item on the list, "Why do they call it a 1911?", has an interesting response. Do you see why?

Google is falsely claiming that the 1911 is an AUTOMATIC pistol. While the "A" in "ACP" does stand for "Automatic," it is a reference to the gun's Auto-Loading capability, not intended to convey that the gun itself is an "Automatic."

How many millions of kids doing research on gun safety or violence are reading this and being misled?

I seriously doubt that it's a mistake. Gun information is too hot of a topic right now for it to be something Google is distributing by mistake. You can bet that they're aware that they're spreading misinformation, but they don't care. IT'S A LIE THEY WANT SPREAD.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

Re: “I would definitely look at 9mm for stopping power”

If you want stopping power, get a .357.

My favorite handgun is my .45. But up North, I'll be carrying a .357. A .45 probably won't stop a charging bear, but a .357 might.
