We had a great weekend despite having some delays at the airports, both coming and going, two hours in Phoenix on Friday waiting for our flight to Houston. And then 20 minute delay in Dallas on Monday waiting for our flight to Orange Co.

The birthdays went off without any significant hitches.

The weather was OK but it was a bit chilly and rainy so we never got to go in the pool.

Now we have to get our April trip finalized.

...only now it's not for business.

My wife and I are flying to Houston in the morning to spend the weekend with our oldest son's family. We're going to celebrate granddaughter #3 and son #1's birthdays. It's going to be a short trip with us flying home on Monday.

Later in April we're planning to fly back to Michigan to celebrate the 100th birthday of a long time family friend and technically a relative, by way of some in-laws.

And then this September, we've just finished making reservations for a two-week trip to Hawaii, the last state on my bucket-list (my wife still has a few more to go). We're flying into Honolulu and spending a few days seeing the local sights and visiting an ex-coworker and his wife, who retired there last year. Then we're boarding a cruise ship for a 7-day, four-island cruise. Than a couple of days back in Honolulu before we head home. I'm finally getting to use some of those Marriott and American Airline points I accumulated while working. When in Honolulu we're staying (for free) at the Marriott Resort on Waikiki Beach. Ocean front room and all the niceties. And our flight over and back is in First Class (again for free). So the only real expense will be the cruise, where we've booked an upper-deck stateroom with a balcony (since we saved on the flights and our on-shore accommodations, we decided to spend a little extra on the cruise itself).
