I hear that Mike Huckabee compared Trump to Churchill and Obama to Chamberlain.
I won't take the obvious one.
Obama is not like Chamberlain because Chamberlain was a great, self-sacrificial PM. He waved the Peace in Our Time paper about to ensure that when Hitler crossed the line and invaded Poland, everyone knew the consequences. His naivety was a pretense. He resigned and got the anticipated war, which he knew was inevitable.
If only Roosevelt had been that smart and that humble.
Obama was a military bluffer whose bluff was called. Ukraine happened because of it. It's the precise opposite of Chamberlain.
The US was isolationist and has not a leg to stand on in criticising Chamberlain's "appeasement".
