Senate OKs payroll tax cut extension, sends to Obama

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Senate on Friday passed legislation extending a tax cut for 160 million workers and long-term jobless benefits through December, clearing the way for President Barack Obama to sign the measure into law.
